Dogus Group joins Euroleague Basketball’s family of partners

Euroleague Basketball is pleased to welcome Dogus Group, one of Turkey’s largest private-sector conglomerates, to its family of partners. Dogus Group brings its strong commitments to the game of basketball, social wellbeing and corporate excellence to the forefront by partnering with the continent’s premier basketball competition for three years. At the core of the partnership are mutual goals relating to corporate social responsibility as well as pan-European and regional sponsorship for some of the Group's companies that will be part of both the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and Eurocup’s marketing partnership programmes.

Much like Euroleague Basketball and its One Team programme, Dogus Group believes in using the power of basketball to integrate communities. Its award-winning Stay in the Game platform has seeded basketball by establishing or refurbishing 40 basketball courts throughout Turkey and has already changed the lives of more than 25,000 children. As part of the next step, Dogus Group plans to take this initiative to the rest of Europe through One Team.

The partnership is an ideal opportunity for Euroleague Basketball and its shareholders to work closely with Dogus Group’s eight industrial divisions (financial services, automotive, construction, media, tourism and services, real estate, energy and entertainment). SEAT brand, which is imported to Turkey by Dogus Group will be taking active part in Euroleague Basketball as Game of the Week partner.

"We are very proud to partner with Dogus Group, which has shown its great commitment to community values and to basketball," said Jordi Bertomeu, Euroleague Basketball President & CEO. "This deal will boost the impact of Euroleague's social programmes and will also contribute to the growth of the sport at an international level."

Doğuş Group Chief Soft Power Officer Semih Yalman said; “Doğuş Group adopts an approach that brings its core values to life as brand investments, and implements a number of social projects that integrate sports and education, where basketball is a catalyzer. As a group that provides service with more than 250 companies across 26 countries, we are proud to cooperate with Euroleague Basketball, one of the most prestigious platforms in the world. This is another major step for us on an international platform, and we intend to communicate more effectively with our stakeholders. We believe that the cooperation will add value to Turkish and European basketball, and hope that the collaboration is long-lasting and successful for both parties. This will also enable us to take the Stay in the Game platform, a Şahenk initiative that is appreciated by Euroleague and provides opportunities to the youth, abroad.”
