Responding the society's changing expectations is among the corporate values of Doğuş Group. For this purpose, we prepared the ‘Doğuş Group Community Engagement Policy’ in 2012 and published it in the ‘Doğuş Group 2012 Corporate Social Responsibility Report’.
Among our community engagement policies are respecting the rights of local community affected by our activities, taking necessary measures by evaluating our potential negative effects, meeting social, environmental and ethical expectations of the society and responding these expectations in an open and transparent manner, being a part of the solution in collaboration with civil society.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS
Doğuş Group supports community engagement programs that are responding the changing expectations of the community in the regions we operate, and creating new opportunities for Group companies. Doğuş Group's Community Engagement Policy published in 2012 suggests the strategic starting points for Group companies for an effective engagement process.
Local Community
Management of social impacts has critical importance for the growth and sustainability strategies of Doğuş Group. Acting with an awareness that social impacts, that are not well or timely managed, may cause loss of social license to operate, cost inflation and schedule drift, Doğuş Group manages its operations by anticipating social and environmental risks, therefore concludes project in a timely and efficient manner. Social impact management positively affects the reputation, and creates new opportunities for the Group companies as well.
Social Impact Management
Operating with more than 200 companies in 8 sectors, there may be activities implicating social change, positive and negative, at each stage of the business life-cycle of Doğuş Group. Therefore, we are aware that managing our social impact at the beginning and end of our operations, detailed analysis on this subject, and establishing healthy systems are important for the sustainability of our business. Analyzing the expectations and concerns of the society prior to and during our investments, being responsive to these expectations, providing transparent and regular information about our activities, preparing Impact Analysis Reports and regularly evaluating the results of these analyses are managed in a systematic manner as a part of our business.

Anti-corruption Processes
The main responsibility regarding Doğuş Holding’s ethical performance is vested in the Audit Committee, which reports directly to the Board of Directors. The Internal Audit Department is responsible for auditing the Group companies’ effectiveness in internal control systems. Furthermore, the internal auditors are important actors with regard to investigation and monitoring, consulting, auditing, collaboration, and suggestion processes of anti-corruption cases.
Anti-corruption risks are included in all the risk assessment processes and the Audit Department is regularly informed on the topic by the related units. The unit monitors potential risk channels, assesses the effectiveness of audit mechanisms, and makes recommendations to related Group companies for improvement areas. Group companies are audited every three months.
Detailed information on risk management and audit mechanisms of Group companies is included in the annual and corporate responsibility/sustainability reports of these companies.
HUMAN RIGHTS
In 2012, Doğuş Group established its Human Rights Policy and declared it to the public. Since its inception, Doğuş Group considers a set of core values based on unity and integrity, understanding, excellence, responsibility and creativity as the basic principles of its existence. These values are embraced as guidance principles for all business decisions of Group companies. With the signing of United Nations Global Compact in 2007, Doğuş Group, committed to 10 universally accepted principles including Human Rights, and clearly reveals its sensitivity and strategy on this issue together with its Human Rights Policy.
